Accessing beneficial ownership data helps you uncover who truly controls a company whether through direct ownership or indirect influence. This API provides verified information to strengthen due diligence, meet regulatory requirements, and minimize hidden risks.

If a company has no registered beneficial owner (over 25% ownership), the service identifies alternative beneficial owners including individuals with over 5% ownership or key board members like the Chairman or CEO. It compiles both direct and indirect holdings and highlights the top two shareholders.

Use case:

Before entering a business partnership, a financial institution uses this API to verify who ultimately controls the partner company, ensuring compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations.
