The Legal Information - Company API provides crucial insights into a company’s legal history, helping identify liabilities, assess risks, and ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. By accessing up-to-date legal data, businesses can strengthen due diligence, avoid reputational harm, and make informed, secure decisions.

With this API, you can:

Scan for legal occurrences related to a company, including court documents, rulings, and decisions from Swedish courts and authorities
Check whether company representatives (board members, beneficial owners) are involved in legal matters
Access legal documents and rulings for in-depth analysis
Perform checks on individuals, if required by AML regulations, up to 6 years of history

How to use the relationHistoryDate and documentHistory query

The Company Roles attached to the CompanyID are checked against the legal information Data, by using the unique social security number linked to each Role.

The API supports the function of retrieving current and historical Roles in the company and then look up against the legal information data. Default is set to 2 years regarding relationHistory. It means that the API will retrieve 2 years of board member/beneficial owner/alternative beneficial owner history and check any occurrences in legal documents.

Note that the documentHistoryYears parameter is used to set historical number of years back in time regarding the legal document to be included in the response. Default is set to 5 years, which also is the maximum.

It is optional to use the DocumentHistoryYears, and RelationHistoryDate as query parameters.
